Third Annual Flavors of Freeport

The 2010 edition will be the third annual Flavors of Freeport festival. Based on the resounding success of the 2009 version, this is a festival not to be missed!

This year's event, with new April 9-11 dates, promises to be a weekend of fun in Freeport, Maine, with all that it has to offer! Friday night begins with the hugely popular Chef's Signature Series and Libations event, This event showcases chefs from the area restaurants, who provide tastings of their specialities, along with wine pairings and specially brewed beers from Gritty's and vodka from Freeport's Cold River Vodka. Inspired by the recent film, Julie and Julia, Freeport's Historic Bed & Breakfasts will supply desserts from Julia Child's cookbooks.

Saturday will begin with Lifestyle demonstrations and presentations at the Harasseeket Inn, followed by a Block Party at 4 pm at the new Freeport Village Station mall.

Along with Freeport's most famous business, L.L. Bean and their 5 stores, there are over 170 shops and restaurants, most in historic buildings, all within a short distance of each other, making for easy access for a quick shopping trip.

Freeport's convenient location, only 25 minutes north of Portland, Maine, and only 2 hours north of Boston, makes it a wonderful location for excursions along the rocky coast, to visit scenic lighthouses, or to just relax and do a bit of shopping.

This is Maine - the way life should be!
